Janemark Winery & Vineyard

Janemark Winery and Vineyard is located in Brandywine, Maryland. Owned by Jane and Mark Vogt, which is how their winery was named, they planted their vineyards in 2013 & 2014. Their tasting room has recently been renovated as of 2020 and is now very, I would say, modern rustic. There are a lot of tables for seating and pretty lights strung throughout their barn. The property has been in Jane's family since 1877 and was formerly a tobacco farm. Jane and Mark made their first vintage in 2016 from their garage and have now grown into their beautiful tasting room. The first time we visited this winery was pre- pandemic and before their tasting room was finished. We sat out front on their patio and loved their albarino. This time around, we enjoyed this winery during the Legacy Wine Trail's Wine and Dash event and got to see the renovated barn for the first time. Our favorite wine during our 2025 visit was their viognier. We did a bottle review podcast on it so check it out! It had nice aromas of honey and melon and flavors on the palate of orange and apricot. The chardonnay was full of green apple, melon, lemon curd and white peach. The cabernet franc had notes of cherry & strawberry, was light-bodied and had soft tannins. The chambourcin was spicy, fruity and had structured tannin. Another great thing about this winery is all of the  events they have like grinches & wine, line dancing and a Halloween event. Check them out and enjoy their events and great wines!
